Well, weren’t we lucky on Sunday, for the first time this month the weather turned it on for us with clear skies, no rain and nearly 20 degrees. A perfect day to be outside building a horse shelter.
Our client engaged us to supply and install a shelter near her house as she was sick and tired of having to trek into the muddy paddock in the rain to rug a horse. We enlisted the help of Steve from Parkside Landscape Supplies, Wallan, Vic to prepare an excellent flat and level pad for us to build.
We sourced the 48 required sleepers from Whittlesea Timber, Simon was kind enough to deliver them for us on a Saturday morning. All the sleepers were excellent, straight and high quality with no defects.
After 6 hours of installing tek screws, lifting sleepers and mixing concrete we had a shelter! Thanks to Steve’s great pad, construction was simple and everything came up beautifully square.
